The Lavender Bakehouse, Chalford

Tucked away next to the pretty canal in Chalford near Stroud is this absolute gem of a cafe. There’s a proudly local vibe to it and a wonderful array of homemade cakes, buns, sandwiches, drinks and more on offer, taking you from breakfast through to afternoon tea!

Many of the ingredients are sourced from local suppliers and all the food is lovingly prepared on the premises. Come here for a relaxing breakfast or lunch or simply chill out with a good coffee, which is roasted locally, and a book.

As an added quirk there is also a fabulous little gift shop here, selling gorgeous gifts plus home and fashion accessories from ‘What Daisy Did’ leather bags to creative pop-up cards from 2Tango, and Daniel Mackie.
