West Midland Safari Park & Safari Lodges, Bewdley

Home to some of the world's most beautiful and endangered species, this brilliant day out is packed with animals, adrenalin and adventure.

Weekend Escapes

The award-winning West Midland Safari & Leisure Park has over 1,700 magical animal encounters, four miles of safari to explore and one-of-a-kind lodges to stay in.

A unique day out that brings you the sights and sounds of the Serengeti – without having to leave Worcs! Home to some of the world’s most critically endangered exotic animal species, you’ll find Indian rhino, cheetah, lion, tigers, giraffe, zebra, elephants and many more.

Take the fantastic four-mile safari drive and come face-to-face with some of the fastest, tallest and cutest animals around. Stick your tongue out at the majestic giraffes, feed the cheeky ankole cattle, observe the pair of Sumatran tigers and whistle at a pack of dhole. See animals from the wilds of Asia, and three incredible African elephants as they mingle and bathe in the new pool. You can even drive through as many times as you wish, handy if you missed a shot! Alternatively, if you prefer to be driven around, then book a great guided minibus tour for an extra charge.

The Discovery Trail showcasing Lorikeet Landing is also a big hit, where you can get up close and personal to amazing lorikeets and even try your hand at feeding them. And you’ll be enchanted at the Penguin Cove, Twilight Cave, Aquarium, the Reptile House, Creepy Crawlies and the many friendly animal encounters on offer. Plus you’ll be astounded as you go back in time through the Land of the Living Dinosaurs exhibit.

Head for the African VIllage where you’ll see meerkats and pet the African sheep and goats. Keep an eye out for the playful ring-tailed lemurs in Lemur Woods, believed to be the largest walk-through lemur wood in the UK.

On top of all that adrenalin-seekers will love the Adventure Theme Park with a host of fun rides and attractions for all ages (and levels of fear!). With over 27 rides test your nerves on Kong, plummet 30m back to earth on Venom Tower Drop, get truly soaked on Wild River Rafting or Zambezi Water Splash or take it easy aboard the galloping zebras on the Congo Carousel ride. For little ones, there is Tiny Tots Theme Park with a selection of rides and attractions designed just for them.

Having so much fun you don’t want to leave? Then book a stay at the new-for-2021 Safari Lodges. Eight exclusive, luxury lodges, designed to give you an up-close and immersive overnight wildlife experience like no other. Choose from waking up to elephants – or cheetahs! Stays at the Safari Lodges include dinner and breakfast, spectacular views of the animals and admission to the Park during the day.  Free admission to the Theme Park wristbands are also included during summer season.

This unique bucket-list getaway is the only experience of its kind in the country, and each lodge will offer free Wi-Fi, TV, coffee machine and mini bar, filled with tasty local produce.

Please note: As of May 2021, The Elephant and Cheetah Lodges are currently fully booked until October 2022, but new Red Panda Cottages are currently being built, set to open in summer 2021. For more info on staying at the Safari Lodges head to www.safari-lodges.co.uk.
