It’s a wrap! The Muddy Awards Winners Party
You did it, they did it, we all did it! We all voted for our favourite local businesses in Glos & Worcs and after a fierce competition, it was time to celebrate. Pop the cork and cue the drinks - here's what went down at The Muddies 2021 Winners Party!
The sun shone, the corks popped, and the laughter and chat definitely flowed!
The 27 winners of the prestigious Muddy Awards – see them all here – turned out in force to accept their well-earned certificates and celebrate being the cream of independent businesses in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
And what an afternoon it was – not even a 30 degree heat wave could stop us, although Muddy did have to get out the industrial fans out to stop everyone (and the cakes) melting!
Guests started arriving at 2pm and were treated to delicious canapes, courtesy of the Queen’s Hotel and glasses of bubbly
We were lucky enough to have not one but two show-stealer cakes too (because you can never have enough stilettos or cake, right?). With an eye-popping stiletto-themed cake from Hayley Stockwell Cake Designs – made with victoria sponge and lemon, poppy seed and elderflower sponge topping the bill.
And a tower of stiletto cupcakes from the very talented Louise at Frangipani Cake Creations, a combo of vegan chocolate and locally-foraged Gloucestershire blackberry frosting, and peach and Prosecco sponge.
Finding brilliant local businesses is right at the heart of Muddy and we really do love it – so getting to meet so many inspirational, creative people was wonderful. All of our local businesses in Glos & Worcs are incredible!
Luckily award-winning photographer, Cheltenham-based Rebecca Northway, was on hand to record the day for us, keep scrolling to see it in full swing. A pro portrait and wedding photographer offering stylish and elegant photography she couldn’t have put everyone more at ease as her beautiful images show.
And finally, some of our worthy winners with their certificates …
Want to see a video of the event? Then check out this epic short film by video-wizard Dan from the Cotswolds Drone Company. Hugely talented at bringing an event or business to life, we think he couldn’t have captured the event more perfectly.
Thank you to our incredibly supportive sponsors Five Valleys. A fantastic shopping and street food hub in the heart of Stroud that rivals Borough market – a shop, sip and scoff destination that is a must-visit.
And lastly, thanks to our hosts at the Queen’s Hotel Summer Garden – Jade, Leanne and the rest of the team – who pulled out all the stops to put on a brilliant event and looked after us so well. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. We’ll be back for one of their signature Queen’s Tiffin Afternoon Teas with fizz very soon!
See you in 2022 but until then, give a virtual round of applause to (and then go visit) our list of amazing winners here.
