Oil up those credit cards – Domestic Science is opening in Stow-on-the-Wold.
This gorgeous homewares and gifts shop is one of our absolute faves, it already has stores in Nailsworth and Tetbury, so this is the third opening for the brand.
An emporium for modern styling and vintage finds, if you’re into original, quirky and offbeat treasures you’ll want to spend hours in here (we do). Due to open soon – keep your eyes peeled for the grand opening date.
Whilst we’re on the subject of retail therapy … Beautiful Cheltenham-based homewares shop and florist The Little Interiors Co is doing a pop-up at the new Rough Hands Coffee Shop at Five Valleys Shopping Centre in Stroud.
Happening on Saturday 15 May, go and say hello, grab a flat white, and browse between 10am and 2pm.
There’ll be all kinds of goodies from gifts and house plants to beauty products and more. Plus keep your eyes peeled, the Interiors Co is also holding sustainable wreath making workshops this summer.
Using fresh flowers & foliage, the florist will teach and guide you to make a fresh flower wreath that will last much longer as the flowers turn from fresh to dried.
Want to know our favourite new night out in Glos? The Supper Club at The Canteen in Nailsworth.
Muddy went down for the inaugural one this weekend and it was totally fantastic. Hosted outside in the brand new canopied, courtyard area of The Canteen with intimate private booths you can snuggle into with friends or family, you get an evening of the most incredible Greek Mezze (it just kept coming!) freshly cooked by lovely owner Caroline Saturley and her team.
We’re talking unlimited flatbreads with houmus and taramasalata, Greek salad, Dolmades, steaming and succulent pork Souvlaki, Jewelled Couscous and Calamari – with vegan alternatives too including the most amazing stuffed aubergines. Needless to say I was way to stuffed for the Persian Love Cake (outrageous I know!).
It’s also BYOB for which they just charge a small corkage.
Brilliant 5-piece band band Cellar Door entertained with live music as the sun went down and the solar lanterns lit up what was a quite magical night!
Tickets for this fabulous event cost just £18. Happening on the first Friday of every month, they’re taking reservations now for the next two Canteen Supper Club events on the 4th June and 3rd July – so book in!
Great coffee and walk combo news … The Box is now open at Painswick Beacon. Stock up on drinks and snacks from this vintage converted horse box before heading up this glorious hill.
Just opened at the Ramblers Car Park, it’s open from Wednesday to Saturday serving teas and coffees, homemade bakes and coffee beans by Ritual Roasters – a fabulous pitstop.
Super eco-friendly with 100% compostable cups and packaging, we highly recommend trying The Carrot, Walnut and Maple Brownies … you won’t regret it.
Fancy a job at Wills and Harry’s favourite polo club? We have just the thing!
Cirencester Polo Club is looking for somebody to run their clubhouse.
Rub shoulders with celebs and aristos at the UK’s ‘most historic’ polo club . Having pivoted during the pandemic to become a destination for those looking to celebrate a special occasion both in and outdoors they have revamped the clubhouse and are now looking for somebody to run the social side of the club which attracts some of the UK’s top socialites.
Sounds rather fabulous to us.
Whip out the lycra ladies (and gents) we have some good news – the Gloucester 10k run is returning to the city for the first time in more than a year.
Around 900 runners are due to line up for the route, with the course designed to take in Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester Docks and the Quays – oh and it’s mostly flat so much to love! If you want to sign up click here.
The event, which was called off last year, takes place on Sunday, July 4.
Hop aboard this Number 94 bus from 14th May – it’s the hottest alfresco bar to be seen at and it’s taking residence at the iconic Fleece Hotel in Gloucester.
Set up by Matt and Jay, founders of the Outdoor Inn in Cheltenham, we love its feel-good festival vibes. (There are already big dome-like private pods on site to book too). There will be a big reveal when it opens and we can’t wait to see how the pair have brought this once derelict site to life again with the help of a real London bus.
Expect live music, good bear and some brilliant events – the fort of which ‘OI COMEDY’ launches this JUNE.
Funny man Simon Brodkin will headline on 14 June (famous for being ordered by Donald Trump to “GET HIM OUT” no less!) this man is a comedy genius. There will be a new outdoor stage and tickets launch via the website on Wednesday 5th May. Get booking!
