Located under an hour from the borders of Glos &amp; Worcs, this <a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/">family-friendly festival</a> set within Coventry’s stunning 14-acre War Memorial Park is a firm favourite on the Muddy calendar.



Loved for its mix of retro stars from the 80s and 90s, a giddy assortment of genres from pop to rock, hip hop and a nod to Coventry’s iconic 2-tone musical heritage, this city festival is set to return for its 26th year from Friday 4 July to Sunday 6 July.

Last year’s headliners included Richard Ashcroft, Paloma Faith, Sam Ryder, The Brand New Heavies and Beverley Knight. This year’s line-up gets even better!

Former&nbsp;Soft Cell&nbsp;singer turned acclaimed solo artist&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/marc-almond">Marc Almond</a>&nbsp;will be flying in especially from his home in Portugal. His top 10 hits include 1981’s&nbsp;Tainted Love, Donna Summer cover&nbsp;I Feel Lovewith Bronski Beat and number one solo hit&nbsp;Something’s Gotten a Hold of My Heart.&nbsp;

Eighties synth-pop band, <a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/heaven-17">Heaven 17</a>, famous for catchy tracks like Temptation from their acclaimed modern classic debut, Penthouse And Pavement and <a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/heather-small">Heather Small</a>, best known as the indomitable vocalist for the band M People, whose hits include Moving On Up, One Night In Heaven and Search For The Hero – forever immortalised as Stevie’s mascot in BBC TV comedy Miranda.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-saturday-5-july">SATURDAY 5 JULY</h2>

Grammy-winning UK electronic&nbsp;dance band with strings attached featuring guest vocalists including Jess Glynne (Rather Be), Zara Larsson&nbsp;(Symphony) and Sean Paul and Ann Marie (Rockabye). Founded in 2008 by classically trained cellist Grace Chatto and brothers Jack and Luke Patterson,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/clean-bandit">Clean bandit</a>&nbsp;will close with a formidable live set.&nbsp;

Nottingham hip hop duo&nbsp;Young T &amp; Bugsey, award-winning&nbsp;DJs, producers and radio broadcasters for BBC Asian Network&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/panjabi-hit-squad">Panjabi Hit Squad</a>&nbsp;and Coventry musical legend&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/neville-staple-specials">Neville Staple</a>, founder member of&nbsp;The Specials.



Brit-nominated house DJ and music producer&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/nathan-dawe">Nathan Dawe</a>&nbsp;from Burton-on-Trent who has amassed a huge following across the Midlands, will be playing a live set. The club and festival DJ has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Little Mix, Joel Corry and Malika, as well giving as impromptu performance in the&nbsp;Love Island&nbsp;villa earlier this year.&nbsp;

Watch out for up-and-coming London singer-songwriter&nbsp;Rosie Gray, who is currently on tour with The Sugababes – and had the good fortune to date actor Harris Dickinson (Babygirl, Triangle of Sadness,&nbsp;The Souvenir: Part II and County Lines) in her teens. Alt-rock performer&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/du-blonde">Du Blond</a>, whose whose real name is Beth&nbsp;Jeans Houghton, comes fresh from a sell-out UK tour earlier this year following the release of fourth album,&nbsp;Sniff More Gritty.

Completing the headline acts are Birmingham’s very own Britpop heroes&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/ocean-colour-scene">Ocean Colour Scene</a>bringing the festival to a close with one of their epic live shows. Chalking up three Top 5 albums in the 1990s –&nbsp;Moseley Shoals, Marchin’ Already&nbsp;and&nbsp;One From The Modern&nbsp;– they had a run of nine successive Top 20 singles including&nbsp;The Riverboat Song&nbsp;and&nbsp;The Day We Caught the Train.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-who-else-1">WHO ELSE?</h2>

One of Britain’s coolest sax players and a double MOBO award-winning artist to boot,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/yolanda-brown-bob-marley-songbook">YolanDa Brown</a>, who’ll be performing Bob Marley Songbook, a reggae, jazz, and soul infused show dedicated to the Jamaican singer’s 80th birthday.



And much-loved dance group&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/diversity">Diversity</a>&nbsp;are back! The&nbsp;Britain’s Got Talent&nbsp;winners are returning to Godiva’s Main Stage after they last performed in 2023, ahead of a major new UK and Ireland tour next spring. Expect jaw-dropping moves and mind-blowing choreography from Ashley Banjo &amp; co. Both great for teens and kids.

The Godiva Festival Family Field has live entertainment and interactive activities for all ages. In previous years kids could have a go at everything from cycling to cheerleading, bhangra and circus skills. Here’s everything we know so far.



If you have a Swiftie in the family don’t miss&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/xenna-presents-tribute-taylor-swift">Xenna Presents Tribute to Taylor Swift</a>&nbsp;on Sunday’s Cov Stage.&nbsp;

On the same stage and day expect a live version of the BBC’s brilliant critically acclaimed CBeebies TV show&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/yolandas-band-jam">YolanDa’s Band Jam</a>&nbsp;– encouraging children to discover the joys of music through dancing, singing and playing. Definitely one not to miss!



Her previous appearances have included the main stage at Camp Bestival and Big Feastival as well as selling out the Royal Festival Hall three times as part of the Imagine Children’s Festival.&nbsp;



A special treat for littlies, there will also be guest appearances throughout Sunday from lovable puppy&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/bluey">Bluey</a>, the main character in international Emmy and BAFTA award-winning Australian animated children’s series for preschoolers.



This city festival is very popular with teens kicking back after GCSE’s and A Levels. One thing to bear in mind is that this year the minimum age for unaccompanied teenagers is rising from 16 to 18 years.







<h1 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-cov-stage-where-local-talent-rocks">THE COV STAGE &#8211; WHERE LOCAL TALENT ROCKS</h1>

This will be the secondary stage at this year’s event hosting local Coventry talent and acts including&nbsp;<a href="https://www.godivafestival.com/artists/much-young">Too Much Too Young</a>, a nine-piece band from the city and surrounding areas playing on&nbsp;Saturday 5 July. The band – currently touring the UK – is dedicated to celebrating and bringing to life the high-energy ska sounds of 2-Tone, which originated in the city, including&nbsp;Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Selecter, The Bodysnatchers&nbsp;and&nbsp;The Beat.&nbsp;

<h1 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-one-of-the-uk-s-best-value-festivals">ONE OF THE UK’S BEST VALUE FESTIVALS</h1>

Last year Godiva was lauded as ‘the best value’ festival of its kind in the UK as organisers celebrated its 25th year.&nbsp;



Earlier this year the city council confirmed ticket prices have been frozen for 2025 – huzzah! – and adult day tickets start at £10. A new Teen Ticket has also been introduced for 13-17-year-olds (lower than an adult 18+ ticket), and a child’s ticket (for 5-12 years) is cheaper than last year.&nbsp;



So, fancy it? Family tickets are available each day and cost between £27.50 and £47.50 in advance; while premium day tickets cost £55 for adults and £45 for children and teens (includes fast track entry, access to exclusive area with Main Stage view, upgraded loos, enhanced bar with unreserved seating and phone charging area).
