<p>Briony May Williams is one of a small galaxy of special guests cooking up a storm at the Malvern Autumn Show, taking place at the scenic Three Counties Showground this month.</p>



<p>Famous for a stretch on GBBO in 2018, Bristol&#8217;s self-made star baker is now a regular on <em>Morning Live</em>, <em>Escape to the Country</em> and has a huge following on TikTok as <a href="https://www.instagram.com/brionymaybakes/?hl=en">@brionymaybakes</a>.  So what does this West Country foodie lust after on her own plate at the weekend? We find out.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-will-we-find-you-dancing-to-in-the-kitchen"><strong>What will we find you dancing to in the kitchen?</strong></h2>



<p>Boybands! I have loved them since I was young, starting out with Boyzone and all the way through to One Direction. I even had them as my specialist subject when I did <em>Celebrity Mastermind </em>a few years ago.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-who-is-the-best-cook-you-know-and-why"><strong>Who is the best cook you know and why?</strong></h2>



<p>My nan was the best cook. Sadly she is no longer with us but she always knew everything about food. She was a home economist and I could ask her anything cooking related and she had the answer every time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-breakfast-or-brunch"><strong>Breakfast or brunch? </strong></h2>



<p>Brunch, always. I don’t like eating when I first wake up so brunch is my favourite. by far. I love a big dollop of smashed avocado on sourdough with a perfectly poached egg.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-s-your-weekend-comfort-food"><strong>What’s your weekend comfort food? </strong></h2>



<p>We love pasta in our house so probably a spag bol or lasagne. My best friend has always spread cream cheese on the lasagne sheets and I never make it any other way, it tastes so good. The weekends are usually spent at home with our 8-year-old daughter, Nora, taking the dog out or baking together. Week days are so busy and I am often away with work, so it is important to me to spend time as a family at the weekend.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-we-re-coming-round-for-dinner-what-s-on-the-menu"><strong>We&#8217;re coming round for dinner! What’s on the menu? </strong></h2>



<p>I&#8217;d do a soup for starters, something seasonal, with fresh bread. Then, an orzotto with yellow courgettes, tomatoes and lemon finished off with a pavlova piled sky high with whipped cream and fresh fruit.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-takeaway-or-no-way"><strong>Takeaway or no way?</strong></h2>



<p>We very rarely get a takeaway but if we do it will be Wagamama, I love the Yaki Udon.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-guilty-snacking-pleasure-for-movie-night"><strong>Guilty snacking pleasure for movie night?</strong></h2>



<p>Always popcorn, sweet and salty. Probably a Disney film chosen by Nora!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-sunday-roast-lover"><strong>Sunday roast lover? </strong></h2>



<p>LOVE LOVE LOVE a Sunday Roast! My husband, Steve, makes a fantastic one but if we are out, we will go to <a href="https://www.thegloucesteroldspot.co.uk">The Gloucester Old Spot</a> in Cheltenham as they do a fab one.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-your-best-lunch-on-the-go-tip">Your best &#8216;lunch on the go&#8217; tip? </h2>



<p>I would love to say that I am really prepared and organised so I have plenty to just grab and go, but I don’t! So I would normally opt for a salad from Pret. We do always have tortilla wraps at home so I will sometimes whip up a quick ham salad wrap.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-three-things-that-will-never-be-sacrificed-from-your-shopping-trolley"><strong>Three things that will <em>never</em> be sacrificed from your shopping trolley?</strong></h2>



<p>Bananas, chocolate and pasta. No negotiation.</p>

<p>Fresh white bread and salted butter. So simple, but total heaven.</p>

<p>Fish! I had to eat urine soaked fermented shark meat in Norway a few years ago for a <em>Food Unwrapped Special</em> we were filming and I haven’t been able to eat fish since.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-s-in-the-weekend-cocktail-shaker"><strong>What&#8217;s in the weekend cocktail shaker?</strong></h2>



<p>I actually gave up alcohol 9 months ago so no tipples for me. I do enjoy an alcohol free cider every now and again though.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-describe-your-sunday-night-wind-down-routine"><strong>Describe your Sunday night wind-down routine?</strong></h2>



<p>I go to bed early with a cup of decaf tea and listen to my audiobook. I have just finished the ACOTAR series…if you know, you know!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-s-on-the-menu-for-you-at-the-malvern-autumn-show-this-year"><strong>What&#8217;s on the menu for you at the Malvern Autumn Show this year? </strong></h2>



<p>I will be doing two cooking demonstrations based around afternoon tea but with a difference. One will be focused on savoury, the other on sweet. Then I will be tracking Nicki Chapman down at the Garden Theatre and watching my fellow Bake Off alumni whipping up their delights.</p>
