No.131, Cheltenham

Pleasure seekers will love this hedonistic hangout – a triple treat of boutique hotel, stylish bar and a Tokyo-vogue sushi restaurant.

A stylish and sybaritic hang-out and haven in the heart of Regency Cheltenham, No 131 is a chic hotel, bar and restaurant and where you’ll find the cool set lounging.

Created from a trio of beautiful Georgian townhouses and in a platinum position on the Promenade in Montpellier, No.131 is one of Muddy’s favourite places to head from dawn till dusk fun. Opened in 2013, the hotel is run by the Lucky Onion group and owned by Superdry founder Julian Dunkerton and his fashion designer wife Jade Holland Cooper. You won’t want to leave, so book into the hotel, which features 36 exquisite and individually designed bedrooms. From family suites to romantic retreats they all feature sumptuous Egyptian bed linen, Bramley & Aqua Di Parma products and either roll top baths or walk-in showers.

Chill out in the funky indoor bar, crammed with seductively-lit nooks and crannies to settle into. The head to Gin & Juice Bar, a lush green haven great for morning coffee meets, open flame-grilled food and late night drinks. It has more than 350 gins (and growing!), signature cocktails and an extensive wine list.

On the upper ground floor find YOKU, a Tokyo-vogue Japanese Sushi restaurant which has opened to high acclaim. Culinary director Ronnie Bonetti and chef Jessie Chung serve up a range of Japanese sushi and Asian cuisine alongside sake, japanese wine and cocktails. Ronnie has cooked for Adele, Bruce Willis and Matt Damon, as well as previously working at Soho House and Babington House – impressive stuff! The fun continues outside with an outdoor heated terrace and brasserie-style Terrace Restaurant, perfect for watching the world go by and al fresco dining, it’s open from breakfast through to dinner.
