What do you get when you mix summer sunshine, a splash (OK, bottle) of fizz and the crème de la crème of local indie businesses? That’ll be the Muddy Awards Winners’ Drinks 2025.

We rounded off this year’s Glos & Worcs celebrations in style at the spectacular and historic Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, this year’s incredible venue.

Cue a buzz of excitement in the air, lust-worthy Downton Abbey views, clinking champagne glasses and a glittering party at Sudeley’s swanky Coach House and Orangery. Down on the VIP guest list? The independents you voted as the best businesses in Glos & Worcs.

It was a joy to meet so many inspirational local entrepreneurs – they are the brilliant people who keep our towns buzzing, our homes looking lush and our social lives significantly more fun.

This year the Awards reached a staggering 10 million people nationally, with over 500,000 votes cast. We’re still pinching ourselves (not to mention recovering from the counting!).

Setting the scene in style

It wouldn’t be a Muddy party without show-stopping touches of course. Emma from Cotswold Balloons created an incredible giant pink stiletto for the event – an incredible feat! If I could have got it into the car I’d have taken it home for my office. And Charlotte from Flowers by Charlotte Elizabeth designed a beautiful backdrop of the most dreamy, Cotswold garden-inspired blooms.

A shot of Hollywood-glam was supplied by Alana’s Love, fabulous giant letters that quite literally put our name in lights. They oozed star quality and were quite the spot for many a selfie.

Our Awards cake was a handmade beauty crafted by the Bohemian Bakery and was (I can contest after scoffing 4 slices) absolutely delicious, in three different flavours and completely vegan. It went in minutes. Obviously.

Welcoming the winners

Sudeley Castle’s Coach House recently had a glow-up and was looking rather fine in the June sunshine, along with the adjacent Orangery they made the perfect place for a party. The awesome events team really rolled out the red carpet for everyone to make it a memorable afternoon.

Heading down the Muddy runway

All eyes were on the prizes though – Muddy’s coveted golden certificates. It was time to hand them over, and it was such a joy to meet and get to congratulate every single one of our wonderful winners.

Handshakes and hugs done, we even had a few words from the Chatelaine of Sudeley Castle herself, Lady Elizabeth Ashcombe, who shared a few titbits about the glorious castle, and sent up a well-deserved round of applause to all our winners.
