The Wheatsheaf, Northleach

With two beautiful private dining rooms to choose from this 17th century coaching inn it a top choice for festivities and feasting. Choose from the Snug or the Private Dining Room, seating up to 24 guests. You’re guaranteed one of the coolest Cotswold chic backdrops at this popular inn. Kick things off with drinks and nibbles first then sit down for a sumptuous three-course supper, or tuck into large sharing pies, whole cuts of meat, and platters of delicious side dishes from the feasting menu. Drool.

The Kings Head, Cirencester

Located in Cirencester’s historic Market Place, this Roman-flavoured pub with rooms and a brasserie recently had a fabulous, stylish makeover. Book a table in the pub or the 80-seater Brasserie, or make it extra-special and reserve the historic vaulted dining space. Expect a really good menu, serving up modern British dishes made with sustainably sourced, seasonal and local produce, alongside daily fish deliveries from Devon.

The Austen Room, The Greenway Hotel, Gloucester

This private dining room at The Greenway Hotel and Spa is gorgeously intimate and gives all the Downton Abbey energy. With its elegant décor and food whipped up by the 4AA Rosette kitchen led by talented Head Chef, Abhijit Dasalkar it seats up to 12 dining guests. Need something larger – you popular thing!? Book the Garden Room for up to 60.

Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden, Cirencester

If you’re after a venue with an awesome atmposthere and stand-out locally sourced food, head here. Roots + Seeds has a special Festive Party Menu featuring three courses and a glass of bubbles for £45. Indulge in a night of cocktails, fine wine, and premium spirits, all surrounded by a cosy, seasonal atmosphere filled. Private dining available for 12 guests or more.

The Bell at Sapperton, Frampton Mansell

The Bell is a staunch local favourite for good reason, it’s all about rustic chic and hearty, delicious food. The private, bookable country-style dining room leads off the main pub area seats between 8 – 12 people. Everyone’s welcome here too (kids, dogs, horses – we kid you not there is genuinely a horse parking spot outside). If you want a low-key, chilled vibe for getting together with a small group of friends or family this is a top choice.

The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie, Cheltenham

The stylish Papworth Room permits up to 24 guests who can be fitted on one long Captain’s style table. The Ivy is high end but with surprisingly affordable food and drink prices. Located in the iconic Grade I listed Rotunda Building, in the heart of Cheltenham’s boutique Montpellier district, quaff and scoff with a backdrop of cool artwork, red leather chairs and a gold-tiled ceiling. Available seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Porch House, Stow-on-the-Wold

Head to stylish Stow and stake a place at the Porch House’s intimate and design-led private dining room. Holding up to 14 people, it has its own bar, garden area, seating area and toilets. With a claim to fame of being England’s oldest inn, this handsome, Grade II listed pub is a great choice for private family celebrations, and the team will even design a menu based around your requirements, just let them know what you’d like.

Burleigh Court Hotel, Stroud

Beautiful Burleigh Court Hotel, just minutes from Minchinhampton Common and overlooking the Golden Valley is one of our favourite spots for a quaff or scoff. The stylish yet cosy space is perfect for a light lunch, afternoon tea or evening dinner. And Burleigh Court is well known for its outstanding, two-rosette food with ingredients locally and harvest daily from their very own kitchen garden. Continue the night on the canopied terrace, complete with firepits and furry throws.

The Crown at Ampney Brook, Ampney Crucis, Cirencester

How about a private dining experience in a Hive pod overlooking a babbling Cotswold brook! That’s the deal at this lovely rustic inn. Add to this The Eaves – where parties of up to 14 friends, family, or colleagues can get together – and this is a top feast-with-friends destination. The Old Stocks Inn, Stow on the Wold

A modern space in a rustic pub? You’e in luck here. Used to holding stylish Cotswold wedding celebrations, as well as family parties or corporate events, The Old Stocks is a great blank canvas for your do. The dining room can be hired for groups of up to 14 at lunch or in the evening and you can decorate the room how you like it, play some party tunes and kick back in your own space.

Worcs

Cottage in the Wood, Malvern

The Cottage in the Wood has the best views in Worcs with panoramas across the spectacular Malvern Hills. So where better for a special meal than a tranquil private dining space in the 1919 Restaurant. Flooded with natural light by day, and an intimate and atmospheric setting in the evenings. The award-winning restaurant has a listing in the Michelin Guide, so expect top notch, beautifully presented food.

Brockencote Hall Hotel, Kidderminster

This lakeside hotel has ‘swish’ written all over it and the friendly team is geared up to help. If it’s a special event enjoy Champagne and canapés on the terrace and create a menu personally designed for your event by the Head Chef, then retire to Le Colonial for a nightcap. Or book out a smaller dining room for some of the finest food in Worcestershire, the hotel has won a host of awards including three AA Rosettes for its outstanding dishes at the Chaddesley Restaurant. Enjoy it all overlooking the dreamy lake and rural estate.

Dormy House, Broadway

Luxe hotel Dormy House is a top drawer choice for the discerning socialiser. Book out the semi-private stone-walled dining nook which is home to a banqueting table for up to 14 people, with a spectacular hanging light as its centrepiece. Available for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, room costs from £100 to hire buttt it’s so worth it for a special occasion we’d say. The Sun Terrace is also a stylish and relaxed place to hang out en-masses, and provides the perfect space for a semi-private event of up to 10 guests. Available for both lunch and dinner.

Lygon Arms, Broadway

This charming peak Cotswolds 16th century hotel is all dark, moody interiors, leather sofas and roaring fireplaces. James Martin’s brasserie is a must visit here, and you can book an area for a lavish feast in the Lygon Bar & Grill or a more intimate gathering in one of the Lounges. The Lygon caters really well for any dairy-free, gluten-free or vegan besties you might have. Caters from 2 to 102, and you can even take advantage of valet parking and book your own dedicated host, should you so wish.
