Burleigh Court Hotel, Minchinhampton

Live the dream at this totally swoon-worthy Cotswold Manor, with beautiful gardens, spectacular views and amazing gastro fare.

Weekend Escapes

If you want exquisite Cotswold style with a beautifully bijou price tag (rooms start at £99) Burleigh Court Hotel is an absolute, hands down winner. This intimate, Grade II listed manor house has cracking views over the Golden Valley near Stroud, a curvaceous corner of the Cotswolds famed for its vistas.

You’ll feel like you’re starring in your own period drama at this 18-room boutique bolthole with it’s personal touches and splashes of luxury. Kick back in one of the elegant reception rooms with a cocktail, or take in afternoon tea in the lounge with its stunning wood panelled decor and restored antique chairs to sink into with plenty of cosy corners to relax in with roaring fires on colder days.

The Restaurant is an equally gorgeous experience, with a menu featuring locally-sourced Cotswolds produce, and (we hear on the grapevine) some of the best desserts for miles around. Wines here are produced on low carbon footprints including organic wines from local boutique vineyards. If you’re feeling loved up book ahead for a ‘Romantic Dinner’ where you’ll get a special secluded table for two lit with candles and share (it’ll be hard) a delicious Chateaubriand for two.

The team here pride themselves on giving guests a super-personal service,  just as if you were staying with good friends who happen to live in a manor house hotel in the Cotswolds! Burleigh enjoys three acres of beautifully maintained gardens and the manor is also located close to many Cotswolds attractions from Minchinhampton Common and Golf Course to the fabulous weekly Stroud Farmers’ Market.

Plus, you can take part in all kinds of experiences from this wonderful bolthole, from E-biking across the Cotswold Hills to wine-tasting, and look out for the special event nights, such as Spanish Guitar by Campfire! (A Muddy fave).

And the mantra here? … Eat well, sleep well and feel well. Don’t mind if we do.
