A family farm in Herefordshire using wonky fruit to create award-winning small-batch artisan copper stilled spirits from their orchard, botanicals, grain spirit and own natural water.
Spirits are distilled in the 250-year-old converted calf shed with a copper still, affectionately called Connie.
Penrhos Spirits has the distinction of being the first UK distillery to move their bottles from traditional glass to 100% recycled, lightweight and stylish green aluminium – which helped to reduce their packaging’s carbon footprint by a massive 91%!
This ingenuity has won them many awards for both innovation, sustainability and eco-packaging.
Their fabulous creations include the award-winning Penrhos Spirits Dry Gin, closely followed by their Rhubarb Gin, Apple and Elderflower Gin, Blueberry Gin and Raspberry Gin.
The business was founded in 2018 by two fruit farmers and friends, Charles Turner and Richard Williams, who wanted their creations to be all hand-made on their Herefordshire farm. Richard’s 27-year-old daughter Harriet, also a Co-founder, is responsible for all the Marketing and Innovation and product development as well as Sales.
For the longest time, the family has been gin lovers finding it the perfect way to unwind after a long day in the fields. Come and see for yourselves as gin-tasting experiences and tours are offered onsite
Created in the heart of the Herefordshire Marches using 100% recycled aluminium bottles, hand-picked ingredients, including wonky fruits from the farm and their own natural water. What’s not to love?
