Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden is a brand new dining hub situated at the Old Kennels in the heart of Cirencester Park. It’s the latest and much-anticipated venture from the talented team behind the glorious Scenic Supper. Friends Toby Baggott and Sam Lawson-King shook up the Cotswold dining scene with their rustic glasshouse dining experience in Moreton-in-Marsh back in 2020.

This superbly sustainable dining destination features a café and restaurant serving up coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch daily, and swing by in the evenings from Thursday to Sunday for a remarkable dinner experience.

Culinary master (he makes some seriously funky food) Sam Idione will be whipping up the dishes, with a focus on ‘farm to fork’. Produce is plucked fresh every morning from the newly created Kitchen Garden on site (aiming to be 75% self sufficient by 2025) and all other artisan produce comes from within a 25 mile radius.

Located in the Bathurst family’s former foxhound kennels and stables, Roots + Seeds is incredibly child-friendly (parents everywhere rejoice!), adjacent to the café there’s a separate children’s room – a bright and airy space full of books and crafts and an exciting, wooden outdoor children’s play area.

Eat indoors or al fresco in one of the two courtyards, peppered with edible flower and herb-filled raised beds (you’ll even spot a couple of the original glasshouses for your morning flat white). Check out the YouTube channel for updates and exciting news.
