What do you get when you mix sunshine, several crates of fizz and the crème de la crème of Glos & Worcs’ businesses? That’ll be the Muddy Awards Winners’ Drinks 2026!

This year’s party took place at the gorgeous Wild Thyme & Honey, a boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. On our guest list? The brilliant independents you voted as best in show.

It was a total joy to meet our 21 winners – all inspirational local business owners, and the plucky people who keep our towns thriving, our homes and wardrobes looking legendary and our social lives fun.

This year the Awards reached a staggering 11 million people nationally, with over 500,000 votes cast and the competition in Glos & Worcs was unprecedented . We’re still pinching ourselves.

THE VENUE

Wild Thyme & Honey in Ampney Crucis near Cirencester was looking fabulous in the 35 degree July sunshine. As winners poured in, it was the perfect indoor-outdoor party venue with its exclusive adjoining Argentinian courtyard (the air con alone deserved a standing ovation!).

The now de-rigeuer Muddy party cake was outstanding this year. A four-tier work of art by the talented Faye at Kitchen Witch Cakery in Five Valleys, Stroud. Separate layers of luscious lemon sponge, strawberry sponge and carrot cake – and all completely vegan too. It went in minutes. Obviously.

And a big shout out to Emma from Cotswold Balloons for the oh-so glamorous balloon art creation!

THE PARTY BEGINS

As our 21 winners and plus ones poured in to Wild Thyme & Honey the fizz flowed and the canapé platters were passed around (the filled mini roast puddings were so good!)

All the action was caught on camera by the talented Gemma Pimm Photography, and the able man with the video and drone was Mike Sheldrick at TooMoFilms.

CERTIFICATE RUNWAY TIME

All eyes were on the prizes though – Muddy’s coveted golden certificates. And it was time to hand them over. It was such a joy to meet and get to congratulate every single one of our wonderful winners.
