<p>Forget trudging through muddy fields and sipping warm cider, instead this summer Gloucester’s bringing full-on Ibiza vibes as the Ministry of Sound Classical lands at Kingsholm Stadium.</p>



<p>Lighting up the Gloucestershire scene on Sat 27 June, if you&#8217;re a fan of dance anthems &#8211; or uplifting classical &#8211; this is one night <em>not</em> to miss. As well as lasers, a live orchestra, festival vibes, street food, bars and epic dance tunes, two legendary DJs acts are making a star appearance.</p>

<p>This is no ordinary DJ set, instead Ministry of Sound Classical takes the iconic dance tracks you yelled through at 2am in your twenties and gives them the full cinematic treatment with a 31-piece orchestra. </p>



<p>We’re talking club classics transformed into goosebump-inducing singalongs under the summer sky. Euphoric? Absolutely! Slightly emotional after two rosés? Also yes. </p>

<p>Ministry of Sound Classical isn’t just coming in hot on the orchestral front, it’s also bringing serious dance music pedigree with it. Supporting the main show are drum and bass heavyweights Sigma, the duo behind era-defining anthems like <em>Nobody To Love</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Changing</em>, guaranteed to send the stadium into full hands-in-the-air mode. </p>

<p>Kingsholm Stadium hasn’t hosted major live concerts since 2019, so the Summer Series feels like a bit of a moment for Gloucester. The stadium is swapping rugby tackles and mouth guards for dance bangers, kicking off a cool new era of live music in the city. Fancy orchestral house music in the home of Gloucester Rugby? Kingsholm is being transformed into a full festival-style experience for the night, meaning all the fun and significantly better toilet odds.</p>



<p>Expect street food traders, cocktail and prosecco bars, plenty of places to grab a drink between sets and fan-zone style areas to soak up the atmosphere before the orchestra kicks in. Basically, it’s designed so you can make a whole evening of it &#8211; arrive early, eat well, have a wander, grab the group selfies and settle in before a night of dance anthems.</p>

Ok, ok&#8230; so Sir Tom Jones is playing the next night (Sun 28 June &#8211; <a href="https://glosworcs.muddystilettos.co.uk/reader-treats/win-tickets-to-tom-jones-gloucester-kingsholme-stadium/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">win tickets here</a>) but it&#8217;s the first time Ministry of Sound Classical has ever played in Glos which is big news.
