<p>One of the prettiest places to seek out in the spring sunshine is The Crown at Ampney Brook. This 16th century inn is an incredibly stylish and welcoming place to unwind. The pub. garden is surrounded by stunning countryside and a pretty brook. There&#8217;s a delicious seasonal menu that champions local farmers,  book in to one of the private dining pods if you&#8217;re feeling fancy, or just grab a bench by the water. </p>

<p>This lovely riverside pub has a huge beer garden and heated pergola terrace with views over the River Avon. On the menu is locally sourced produce, seasonal ingredients, and pub classics, while outside there&#8217;s wood-fired pizza and street food-inspired treats from the open kitchen. Fancy swinging by during a day on the river? They have their very own dock allowing you to hop on and off your boat / kayak / paddleboard with ease!</p>

Expect a strong love-for-local at this inn, from Cacklebean Eggs from Stow-on-the-Wold to Dolcetti gelato crafted in Cirencester. See if you can spot the two bee hives tucked away in the garden too (guests can also try honey made on site by the bees.)</p>

<p>The Bell is a lovely, laidback weekend hangout. A rural retreat off a quiet lane in Sapperton village, the most traffic you’ll hear from the lush garden is the odd horse trotting past.</p>

<p>Perched on Rodborough Common with views over the Cotswold countryside, we love this place because you never know when a Belted Galloway cow might rock up to join in as you sip your pint. The garden has a laid back Ibiza-vibe garden with deckchairs and comfy spaced out seating and tables – with lots of space for kids to run around in.</p>

<p>One of the biggest pub gardens in the Cotswolds, this one is a stone’s throw from Cheltenham but with a feel of being deep in the countryside. It is open for full on alfresco dining on the newly re-arranged and has a semi-covered sun terrace.</p>

<p>Queens Hotel in the heart of Montpellier has a fabulously chic summer garden to enjoy some bubbles with a buddy. In the summer there&#8217;s a horsebox bar in the garden for those cocktails or opt for the Summer Garden menu with Lobster Rolls amongst the tasty plates on offer. Top tip – finish your visit with a signature cocktail or gin and tonic made from the hotel’s own Queens gin.</p>

<p>Why settle of one beer garden when you can have multiple beer terraces? The award-winning Wheatsheaf in Northleach has lots of private garden nooks and crannies to settle into with your pint, dotted with sweet-smelling potted plants and tumbling climbers.</p>

<p>This gorgeous traditional beer garden right on the Glos and Worcs border near Broadway is a really pretty spot to soak up some panoramic views of the Malvern Hills, we highly recommend staying for sunset. If you love supporting local then it also serves up loads of local craft beers. The large garden is dotted with wooden benches and features fruit trees, herbs and a pretty orchard.</p>

<p>Missed your trip to the White Isle? Fear not, the brilliant Sheep on Sheep Street in Stow-on-the-Wold has a newley madeover garden area with laid back Ibiza-esque music and a lovely vibe.</p>

<p>The Corinium Hotel has a great relaxed vibe, order a drink at the bar and chill out in the spacious walled beer garden of this 16th century hotel. It’s a real sun trap. Due to being tucked away in a pretty lane five minutes from the centre of Cirencester it never gets too busy. Watch out too for the pizza truck here serving up delicious doughy offerings throughout the year.</p>

<p>A Finalist in the Muddy Best Destination Pub Awards 2021, this Worcs pub has a lovely garden to sit out and enjoy the sunshine in. Overlooking the old village green, it has great food, an oak gazebo and plenty of space making it great for kids to blow off some steam whilst you enjoy your drink.</p>

<p>You’d be hard pushed to find a more quirky and fairytale hangout than the beer orchard at The Fleece Inn. Owned by the National Trust, with its wonky 15th century timbers, and stone mushrooms dotted everywhere, this pub is a lovely place to while away the hours. There are beautiful plum trees in the garden and you can even bring your pooch along to meet the resident pub dog. </p>
