<p>Hot off the press (and plates), the <strong><a href="http://the%20michelin%20guide%20great%20britain%20%26%20ireland/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">2026 MICHELI</a><a href="https://guide.michelin.com/gb/en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">N Guide Great Britain &amp; Ireland</a></strong> has just dropped with glittering stars dished out in Dublin this week.</p>



<p>There are 1,210 restaurants in the mix for 2026 – including 230 with Stars and all the Three-Star greats holding firm. London’s still flexing with two new Two-Star restaurants, while 20 new One-Star spots, 37 fresh Bib Gourmands (hello, great food at sane prices) and seven new Green Stars keep things interesting.</p>



<p>Glos &amp; Worc has retained its stars (whoop!) and although no new stars are incoming this year, we d have a brand NEW Michelin Bib Gourmand!</p>

<p>Jai Ho only opened its doors in 2025 and already it has smashed it out of the park, earning the only Bib Gourmand award in Glos this year. </p>



<p>What the <em>Michelin Guide</em> says: &#8220;Smart, stylish and boasting an immaculate open kitchen, this charmingly run Indian restaurant – whose name means &#8216;let there be victory&#8217; in Hindi – is a younger sibling to Cheltenham institutions Prithvi and Bhoomi Kitchen. </p>

<p>&#8220;There is a more distinct street food influence here, with the well-priced menu offering sharing plates that arrive when they’re ready.  Look out for the coal-roasted dishes, including unmissable lamb chops, and the regularly changing house biryani. The desserts don’t let the side down either, with the gulab jamun a particular treat.&#8221; </p>



<p>We say book ahead now &#8211; this one is a fresh and fabulous new star on the  Gloucestershire foodie scene.  Inspired by the vibrant flavours of Bombay, menus are creative and comforting. From meats cooked on the charcoal grill, to  small plates like , pao buns, kebabs, BBQ, curries and biryanis. ​​It&#8217;s an affordable menu paired with signature cocktails and great beers.</p>

<p>The newest star-holder in Chelt&#8217;s foodie galaxy, Somerset-born chef Jon delivers precision cooking with bold, punchy flavours and theatre, all wrapped up in an elegant tasting menu. Led by a husband and wife team the focus is on produce from British farmers, fishermen and producers, along with food from the family farm. If you love your fine dining inventive and beautifully presented, book this one sharpish.</p>

<p>Cheltenham’s grande dame of fine dining and still at the top of her game. Le Champignon Sauvage is that rare beast: seriously Michelin-starred yet gloriously unpretentious. Expect classic French technique with a modern, seasonal swagger. It’s intimate, quietly confident and perfect for when you want to remind yourself what proper, grown-up dining feels like. </p>

<p>From the sweeping drive to the oak-panelled walls and vast leaded windows, The Manor House oozes old-school charm by the bucketload. Bybrook restaurant has retained its Michelin Star for the 10th year, which is pretty impressive. Executive Chef Robert Potter specialises in scrumptious, often-homegrown ingredients, prepped and presented with flair. Dishes include Cornish turbot with Salcombe Bay crab and seaweed butter. </p>
