The Muddy Awards 2022 Winners Drinks!

The Muddy Awards 2022 reached their fabulous finale with the glittering Winners' Drinks. You all voted (in your squillions!) for your fave local businesses and after a hotly fought battle it was time to pop the corks. See what happened and keep scrolling for the Oscar-winning video!

Whoop! The wonderful winners of the Muddy Awards 2022. All photos by Stefania Distante

On Wednesday 6th July the prestigious Pittville Pump Room played host to the party of parties – the Muddy Stilettos Glos & Worcs Awards 2022 Winners’ Drinks.

Glad rags were donned, stilettos were strapped on, and Cheltenham’s iconic spa building echoed with whoops of delight. The 27 winners of the Muddy Awards 2022, sponsored by Gloucester Quays – and as voted by you – gathered to celebrate being crowned the ‘best of the best’ in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

The sun shone and the corks popped as your local champs – see them all here – turned out to collect their certificates. And what an afternoon it was – not even a 30 degree heat wave could stop us. Here’s how it unfolded.

Speech!

After the mingling it was down to the serious business of more toasting! Sophie stepped up to thank everyone, ably assisted by (ehem, another) glass of champagne. Pump Room events manager Steve also wowing the crowd with a brief history of the stunning venue.

The cake

The real star of the show however? It has to be the cake of course. This incredible creation needed its own awards ceremony it was so glamorous. Made by the talented Sarah from SJ Cakes in Gloucester, the bottom layer was raspberry and white chocolate, and the top layer chocolate fudge cake and it was truly a show-stopper.

Joining it were two towering stacks of the most delicious brownies by the brilliant baking team at Tewkesbury Treats. A winning combo of Lotus Biscoff flavour and Chocolate and Raspberry, made with Belgian chocolate.
