Clear the fridge, and empty the vases, it&#8217;s time to stock up on some devilishly delicious in-season fruit, veggies and blooms. 



So grab that trug and head to these lovely PYO farms spots.







<a href="https://www.lotmead.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lotmead Farm</a>&nbsp;is a real local favourite for luscious fruits. It’s a great foraging experience with lots of room between rows for picking. They alternate the opening times of fields, to ensure they have time to grow in between picks.

We loved the raised racks which mean you don’t get an achy back, and there’s lots of helpful staff on hand to help. The shop sells delicious local food and snacks too. Pick up your empty punnet at the gate and go wild. As of the beginning of June the strawbs are now out &#8211; so get picking!



<a href="https://primrosevale.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Primrose Vale Farm Shop&nbsp;</a>near Cheltenham is open all year round for fruit and veg picking with 15 types of crops. You’ll find strawberries (the most popular crop) grown on raised platforms along with&nbsp;raspberries gooseberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, loganberries, tayberries &amp; whitecurrants, redcurrants and vegetables. Just rock up and fill up.

<a href="https://www.overfarm.co.uk/pick-your-own/strawberries/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Over Farm Market&nbsp;</a>is a popular spot for loading up your fridge and freezer with fruit. Located in Gloucester this working farm has super sweet strawberries as well as raspberries and early blackberries. 



Roam through 4km of strawberries on back saving waist high platforms and select the very best berries to take home, and the fruit is charged by the punnet. 



<a href="https://www.haylesfruitfarm.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hayles Fruit Far</a><a href="https://www.haylesfruitfarm.co.uk/pick-your-own" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">m</a>&nbsp;is in Winchcombe near Cheltenham and for an admission fee of £1 per person you get to go onto the field (under 3’s are free) and forage away (playing for what you pick). 



Visit the Farm Shop on arrival where you can collect your punnets and wristband. There’s also a beautiful lake here too (to munch your strawberries by when you’re done). Open Tues &#8211; Sun.

<a href="https://www.facebook.com/ElmoreFruitFarm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Elmore Fruit Farm&nbsp;</a>is now open near Gloucester. With new raspberry and tayberry rows as well as blackberries on offer it&#8217;s a great spot for fairly priced, responsibly grown berries.



Over in Worcs, head to&nbsp;<a href="http://clivesfruitfarm.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Clive’s Fruit Farm</a>. Located in lovely Upton-upon-Severn this little gem has strawberries, raspberries and cherries in its PYO fields. They grow many different varieties using a table-top system in polytunnels. This makes it easier to pick as there is no bending down and come rain or shine you can still pick in the dry. Open Tuesdays to Sundays.

Another you’ll find in Worcs is&nbsp;<a href="https://bellsfarm.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bell’s Farm Shop</a>. Located in Hartlebury, near Stourport-on-Severn it is open 9am – 5pm 7 days a week, all year. Likewise, check out&nbsp;<a href="https://stanleysfarmshop.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stanley’s Farm Sho</a><a href="https://www.overfarm.co.uk/pick-your-own/strawberries/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">p</a>&nbsp;in Corbett which is open all year round, head here for strawberries in summer and sprouts in winter!



The farm covers approx 250 acres, of which 25 acres are for pick your own fruit and vegetables. Currently on the PYO hotlist are strawberries, rhubarb, raspberries, cauliflower, calabrese, spinach and courgettes. That’s an entire meal!



<a href="http://www.woolstoneorchards.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Woolstones Orchard,</a>&nbsp;near Evesham with lovely views over the Severn Valley, is also a great PYO spot So, if you love a good crumble (stock up the freezer for autumn) or fruit smoothies head here because they have trees heaving with apples, pears and plums just waiting to be picked throughout the summer.
