Cotswolds grazing grandee <a href="https://www.instagram.com/rootsandseedscafeandkitchen/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Roots + Seeds </a>is expanding again &#8211; this time with a seriously scenic new outpost at Far Peak near Northleach. Doors open Friday 27 March 2026 from 8am, bringing its signature locally sourced cooking (and sense of fun) to a climbers, walkers, families and well-behaved dogs.



Heading up the kitchen is chef Russell Brookman, who’s spent the last 18 months working across the branches at Gloucester Food Dock and Cirencester Park &#8211; so your brunch is in good hands!

Set within Far Peak’s adventure-led wellness hub, come to play padel, climb, cycle trails and or for a sauna session &#8211; then refuel at this brilliant café. Expect brunch, lunch, relaxed dinners and a strong drinks offering. Open all week.

French fusion dining with a waterside view? Count us in. Big news for Gloucester &#8211; <a href="https://www.musebrasserie.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Muse Brasserie </a>is heading to Gloucester Food Dock, with an April 2026 opening locked in.



Founded by Limon Rahman, Muse blends classical French technique with Indian flavour, a combo that’s already earned a loyal following in Cheltenham and Bristol. The Gloucester site will be its third, brace for seriously good food, a curated wine list, Sunday brunch and a monthly supper club.



A soft launch week will include meet-the-chef evenings and previews before opening for seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

After a period off the scene, award-winning bar <a href="https://theclarence.social/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Clarence Social</a> is officially reopening &#8211; and Cheltenham’s nightlife just got an upgrade.



Known for its sizzling cocktails, it built a reputation as one of the town’s go-to spots for properly crafted drinks and a buzzing late-night atmosphere. The rebirth looks exciting, the bar has teamed up with catering gurus Lowdells, so you can graze on small plates and seasonal cooking in a wine bar setting. Top chef James Lowdell will be cooking up the likes of Grilled King Prawns and Chocolate, Sea Salt &amp; Olive Oil Mousse. We&#8217;re there.

After a sold-out debut, <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=josser&amp;oq=josser&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j0i512l2j46i175i199i512i654j0i512j46i512j46i10i512j46i10i199i465i512j0i512j0i10i512.840j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Josser Restaurant</a> is back &#8211; and scaling up for 2026. Reopening on Fri 3 April in St Michael’s Park, Cirencester, the pop-up from Ols Halas and Amber Halas is doubling its capacity. The concept is the same: multi-course dining under canvas, with guests following fairy lights to a converted wag ‘n’ drag lorry that doubles as kitchen, restaurant and home.



New for this year is Sunday Lunch in the Park, offering a more relaxed take on the experience, alongside the signature Friday and Saturday evening sittings (£65pp). Sunday lunch is £40 for adults and £25pp for kids.



We love the sociable communal tables, seasonal Cotswolds produce and a circus-wagon bar vibe, while the daytime J Kiosk has delicious flatbreads, coffee and juices. Bookings are open now &#8211; and they won’t hang around.

A £24 million eco-resort is heading to the Cotswolds, <a href="https://holidays.cabu.co.uk/cabu-in-the-cotswolds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cabu</a> is a cool new resort &#8211; and we&#8217;re not talking Disneyland here &#8211; instead think 51 design-led timber cabins, all self-catered, set around a central hub with a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, restaurant, bars and an events space. 



Spa facilities will include saunas, hot tubs and plunge experiences, while the wider site promises all kinds of low-key activities to fit the chilled vibe. Keep your eyes peeled for the grand opening late spring to summer 2026 &#8211; who needs to fly anywhere, we say?!

An electronic dance festival in the Cotswolds? Nope, you&#8217;re not hallucinating. It could be more than a fantasy so unpack your glow sticks people. Planned for Cotswold Airport, <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=runway+festival+cotswolds+airport&amp;oq=runway+festival&amp;aqs=chrome.0.69i59l2j0i512j69i64j0i512j69i60l3.1575j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Runway Festival</a> is already generating buzz thanks to its scale and setting with a decision being made by the Council on 1 April (no joke).



If approved, expect top flight DJs, a dance lineup, camping, runway staging and a very different energy to anything you&#8217;ve seen before here. If it gets the neon light it lands at Cotswold Airport near Cirencester from 26 &#8211; 28 June.



Love a festival and want to book now? Lakefest has dropped its 2026 headliners. Taking place 5 &#8211; 9 Aug at Eastnor Castle, just nearby, this year’s lineup includes Bananarama headlining Sunday, alongside Madness, The Charlatans, Example and Soul II Soul. Also on the bill are Scouting for Girls and Seb Fontaine.

It’s back, adrenaline-lovers &#8211; Cheltenham’s Big Wheel has been approved at the last minute and will return to Imperial Gardens from Thurs 26 March to Sun 12 April 2026 &#8211; woohoo!
